I don’t know. All depends on Learnhub’s ability to make good rules and keep it up. I agree that rewards are always a good way to get input.
I have said little about how to make Learnhub a better operating system to support the community, mainly because I wanted to better understand the participants and their needs. I think that the community as a whole has to decide on what they want Learnhub to be in order to support the community’s needs and increase the reader and participant following. At this time, it is a place where people can express their thoughts and experiment with developing questions and essays. For the most part, this community has limited resources to really post curriculum and some do not know how to develop curriculum. it would be great to see more options in the future.
There are some other things such as getting multiple listings for the same lesson or news that needs to be fixed. I have been sick for the last couple of weeks and my son helped me clear some of my emails. He told me that he cleared over 40 emails that were repeats from Learnhub.
Additionally, there are CMSs that are freeware, such as Moodle, that could help give Learnhub more bells and whistles, some that are really needed. A lot of the participants in Learnhub are really students. These students need lots more exposure to technology to actually improve especially their English skills, my expertise.
Someone suggested a TV show as a topic, well I suggest a talk radio show. We already have topics that are chatted about so a community leader could sign up and lead a discussion about his/her topic in the language they want. The interface between native and non-native speakers of languages would be a bonus for lots of Learnhub participants. The show would be a good marketing tool for Learnhub. I would even be interested in helping set it up.
